  1. The followers of Islam slaughtered 245 million innocent people. I am not surprised that MSNBC wants to show a softer side of Islam!

I’m not surprised either. What I thought was interesting was to see how influential and rich this guy is, and what that translates to in influence, especially pertaining, possibly, to the current Presidential race. And the fact that Perry has never lost. Thanks Legatus.

  2. Aan Tdp says:

Legatus legionis, thanks for keeping track of how many people have been slaughtered by the followers of Islam. Could you please provide a breakdown of the number? Also, could you also provide a count of how many people have been slaughtered by followers of Christ? And please don’t forget to add the great crusades to the long list either.

Truth is, there are nutjobs in all religions, cultures, countries. When you classify an entire religion as you seem to depict, you are the ignorant one.

luchadora41, As a practicing christian, but a MA student of Islamic Studies, I would love to have a discussion about the religions but I don’t know of any decent public platform. I think it’s time that we all keep the past in the past and join hands to look forward to a brighter future (something The Aga Khan, or “the rich guy” actively promotes – and I respect him for that). The Aga Khan has done a phenomenal work of philanthropy around the globe.

Aan, thank you for your comments and I’d love to have a discussion with you. You say “followers of Christ” as if that was who was responsible for the Crusades. I submit to you that followers of Christ would never have taken part in such wholesale slaughter. There are many who say they are Christian but are not. History has proven that out. If you know Jesus, really know Him, you would never do such things.

Please read my other blog, and read the posts on the Arab and Islamic world in prophecy, as well as The Quran In Its Own Words. The Aga Khan is a follower of Islam, and Shia Islam is more militant than Sunni. They hate each other, but if you think Aga Khan isn’t dangerous, envision him in a situation where his Islamic bosses want him to have Christians and Jews killed, Then see what he does.

“if you think Aga Khan isn’t dangerous, envision him in a situation where his Islamic bosses want him to have Christians and Jews killed, Then see what he does.”
Who are these Islamic bosses you are referring to?

    • luchadora41 says:

Oh, well of course Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the other rulers of Shia Islam. I’ve asked a few Muslims on Twitter, who said they wanted friendship, what he would do if I visited their country and we were in a gathering where he was surrounded by his brothers: if they were yelling for me to be killed, would he do it? I never got any response back from any of them, and my question about Aga Khan is the same. He claims he is moderate, but if he were in a situation where his brothers required the killing of people, would he do it?

      • SomeOne says:

Wow, if that is your response, then I’m afraid you have no idea who the Aga Khan is or who his followers are. I realize that with 1 billion people under the umbrella of ‘Islam’ it is easy to generalize people with a broad paintbrush but there are vast differences theologically, philosophically, and practically between the dozens of interpretations. I would humbly suggest you do more research on the Aga Khan and his followers and see how they practice their faith and civic ethics. Please let me know if you would like to get some suggested resources.

      • luchadora41 says:

Thank you for your suggestions, and I’m familiar with how the Aga Khan practices his faith. I stand by what I said, though. Islam is Islam.

  4. SomeOne says:

Sorry to say that if you think his Islamic bosses are Ahmadinejad and the other Twelver Shia leaders then you are thoroughly uninformed, not just about the Aga Khan but also the people he leads. But ignorance is also a right along the freedom of speech, and I will leave you to your ignorance.
